I was pulled over by Chicago Police back in March 2009. I had my unloaded hand gun in my locked glove compartment with a valid FOID card. The officer arrested me stating I'm not suppose to ride around with a gun in my glove compartment. That it's suppose to be in the trunk of my car in a carrying case. I mentioned to the officer under Criminal Code- 720 ILCS 5/ sec. 24-1.4(c)iii that I'm not in violation of transporting my weapon. The officer searched my car without my permission.The only thing that was violated was my rights. I had a some of the same situation. I was pulled over by Chicago Police back in March 2009.
